Online Learning & Independent StudyAll courses are now available to start. There are three Online & Independent Study classes offered through NWLS. The cost of each course varies from $145 to $185. If other courses are needed that we do not have listed, contact us. We will attempt to provide the class using a variety of resources. The cost may vary.
Enrollment Process
Health.5 credit (Regular Ed or Credit Recovery) Time: 24/7 Students develop knowledge, attitudes, and essential skills in (1) mental and emotional health; (2) nutrition; (3) lifelong physical activity; (4) substance use and abuse; (5) injury prevention and safety; (6) growth and development; and (7) personal health, environmental conservation, and community health resources Life Fitness.5 credit (Regular Ed or Credit Recovery) Time: 24/7 Combines online instruction with student participation in weekly cardiovascular, aerobic, and muscle-toning activities. The course promotes a keen understanding of the value of physical fitness and motivates students to participate in physical activities throughout their lives. Required hours: Regular Education class, 75 hours; Credit Recovery class, 40 hours. (Undocumented physical activity hours from April 1 may be used.) Physical Education (9-12).5 credit (Regular Ed or Credit Recovery) Time: 24/7 Physical Education is designed to promote an active and healthy lifestyle through physical activity. Students document aerobic, muscle strengthening and endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance through a variety of activities. Exercises may vary according to the student. Required documented hours: Regular Education class, 75 hours; Credit Recovery class, 40 hours. (Undocumented physical activity hours from April 1 may be used.) Independent Study.5 credit (Regular Ed or Credit Recovery) Time: 24/7 Other courses are available. If you have a need of other courses or credit requirements that are not listed, contact us. Also, credit can be earned for “alternative learning experiences” in accordance to State law. It may be a result of travel, rehabilitation, specialized training, or other “learning experiences” outside a school setting. * A late completion fee of $25 is assesses per week.
